In carrying out its operation, OneSteel Coil Coaters takes all necessary measures to ensure that its processes have a minimum effect on the environment ensuring that our plant remains compliant with legislative requirements.

In an operational sense, we promote a proactive environmental policy. By taking an active approach, we look to reduce our use of water and energy - thereby reducing air emissions, waste water and landfill.

Emissions generated from the pre-cleaning and pre treating of substrate are captured and delivered to an on site effluent plant for cleaning before discharge.

Air emissions generated from the curing ovens are channeled through a catalytic oxidiser that destroys organic compounds and reuses the waste gases, minimising emissions of green house gases.

All processes are carefully controlled ensuring maximum use of raw materials with minimum waste generation. Disposal of waste is controlled with best practice environmental standards.
